Today, the building sector is the global leading greenhouse gas emitter, responsible for 40% of global energy consumption and 30% of greenhouse gas emission. Because of this, the design and construction of buildings have a significant effect on the probabilities of meeting the 2°C target. Given that the housing deficit in many African nations amount to millions, it is crucial that we change our way of building and living to ensure ecological and social sustainability.
This is why we're doing what we're doing. Our approach to building sustainable homes seeks to minimise the environmental impact in both the construction and the ongoing running of the building. Our vision is a socially and ecologically restorative future, with the mission to enable builders to create self-sufficient community housing that are adapted to both their inhabitants and surrounding environment.
